A Legacy of Care, A Future for Families
Dr. Maria Montessori (1870–1952), Italy's first female physician, revolutionized education by applying scientific observation to children's learning.
In 1907, Dr. Maria Montessori opened the first Casa dei Bambini ("Children's House") in San Lorenzo, a working-class district of Rome. She documented her theories in Il metodo della pedagogia scientifica, which was later translated into English as The Montessori Method (1912).
In 1930, The first Montessori school in Indonesia was established in Malang, marking the beginning of the method's influence in the country. From there, Montessori education spread to major cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and even Bali.
In 2022, KinderCastle establishes 3 daycares around BSD, serving around 100 children.
KinderCastle received UNDP SDG sponsorship for supporting:
• SDG 3: Good health and well being
• SDG 4: Quality Education
• SDG 5: Gender Equality
• SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
With rapid growth, KinderCastle now manages over 30 daycares and supports more than 5,000 families.
In 2025, as part of our journey and vision for greater impact, we rebranded KinderCastle into MainStory, a change made to continue our mission of growing and serving more Indonesian families.
